In memory of Jenny Bosley
In October 2026, I will be taking on the Oxford Half Marathon in memory of my nan and to raise money for the RFU Injured Players Foundation, a charity that was incredibly close to her heart. On 6th October 2025, she passed away and it left a huge hole in our lives. Taking on this challenge is my way of celebrating the incredible woman she was and continuing the support she showed to me and so many people throughout her life.
My nan dedicated more than 37 years of her life to rugby. She gave countless hours of her time, unwavering support, and her whole heart to the sport she loved. Her dedication was recognised when she became the first female President of Oxfordshire RFU, a role she held with pride and passion. The RFU Injured Players Foundation was a cause she cared deeply about. She always wanted to help and support others wherever she could, whether through donations, fundraising, or sponsoring an injured player. Supporting those whose lives have been changed through rugby meant so much to her, which is why raising money for this charity feels like the perfect way to honour her memory.
As for me, I never thought I could run for 15 minutes, let alone complete a half marathon. Running that far has always felt completely out of reach, but this challenge means so much to me and I am determined to give it everything I’ve got and get across that finish line.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help support the incredible work of the RFU Injured Players Foundation and would mean the world to me and my family.
Thank you for your support.
