Littlemore RFC vs Gosford All Blacks II Our first

Littlemore RFC vs Gosford All Blacks II
Our first game of the season saw Littlemore take on Gosford All Blacks II on a hot afternoon with solid ground underfoot at Stratfield Brake.Littlemore started strongly, showing determination and putting in some excellent defensive work as GAB dominated possession and kept the pressure firmly inside the Littlemore half during the early stages, but GAB eventually found an opportunity to attack and put the ball over the line however failed to convertLittlemore soon responded with a great attacking passage, Dev shifting the ball wide to Prince, who’s turn of pace, finished brilliantly in the corner finally putting LRFC on the scoreboard. Alec kept his composure under pressure and confidently added the conversion to give Littlemore the lead.Unfortunately, the try came at a cost. During his run, Prince pulled his hamstring and was forced to leave the game.
The injuries continued to pile up for Littlemore. Within minutes, Fernando suffered a dislocated shoulder and then Dev was also forced from the field for an HIA.Despite the setbacks, Littlemore continued to battle hard, showing plenty of defensive resilience and refusing to let the injuries derail their effort on the pitch and went into half time in the lead 7-5.The injuries began to take their toll as the game moved further into the second half. GAB continued to apply pressure and eventually managed to break through the Littlemore defence and get across the line.Littlemore responded with some valiant efforts of their own, pushing forward in search of another score. The pressure produced some tense moments, with play repeatedly taking place just inches from the Gosford line.
Eventually, Littlemore got the breakthrough they were looking for, when Jason lined Callum up to find a fantastic line through and Alec once again showing his composure to successfully add the conversion.A tough first outing, but plenty of positives, plenty learned and lots to build on as the season gets underway.Final score Gosford 34 – Littlemore 14
⭐ Man of the Match – Archie
An absolute monster effort from Archie. Well deserved! 👏
🔥 Bring on the rest of the season! 💪🏉
