Club update

Club update from your chairman

To all members & staff

Firstly I hope you and your family’s are all well.

There are of course lots of other issues going on in the world at the moment which are changing day by day but I just wanted to update you all on what is happening within your club.
As you know the committee decided to close the club on the 18th March and this decision although difficult to make at the time was to help keep our members/staff safe but also help with the finances of the club but also to make sure the club survives this unprecedented time.
The committee are regularly discussing matters arising during this lockdown and are always looking at the financial side of things , RFC grants/support and government grants have been applied for to help the club in the future and monthly costs are reduced so we don’t have as many outgoings , this work goes on behind the scenes while also doing our days jobs and I would like to personally thank our treasurer Denise broom for all her hard work during this time.
I would also like to thank the committee for there proactive application at this time and I know the club will be ready to open when we are allowed.

As for the rugby side of things we know that there is no set time on when this will happen again but we will be back in league rugby again next season and the rebuilding of the squad is already happening in the background and thanks goes to Lynn Evans , Jason chambers and Darren Warne for there work behind the scenes.

We will try and update everyone as soon as we can , but rest assured the club is in good hands.
But in the meantime I wish you and all your families well and look forward to seeing you all at the club soon

Regards
Lee Gillett
Chairman , Littlemore RFC
