This Saturday afternoon, with the sun smiling over Littlemore, the men in resplendent blue and white gave their all in the season’s final push. With Aylesbury as worthy opponents, we were determined to put on a show for the gathering crowd. Thankfully, at the end of a hard season for clubs up and down the …
Six months on from our first league fixture, this Saturday we finished our campaign against Stow on the Wold and District RFC, who were sitting near the top of the table and looking to reinforce their position. One of our furthest away trips of the year, a convoy travelled from Littlemore through the leafy villages …
After two merry weekends tucked inside the rugby club watching the Six Nations, an elite group of Littlemore players braved the stormy conditions to take on a strong Buckingham side. Unfortunately, I was not able to travel to this match so what follows will be a much abbreviated report. Buckingham opened up the game with …
This past Saturday was an excellent day for rugby: mild weather, soft ground underfoot and two teams willing to throw everything at each other over 80 minutes! Harwell were welcomed, having given us a fun and slightly loose game back in October. The start of this match was no less captivating, with the sides lining …

From the start, …
The grey skies over Oxfordshire today stood in stark contrast to the fireworks on the pitch during today’s match at Harwell. With both teams slightly short of players, an agreement was reached: both teams started with 12 players, dropping both flankers and one back. This ensured there would be gaps in defences and opportunities to …
Much like our match on Saturday, and for reasons which will become clear, this report shall be brief! Excellent rugby weather welcomed us to our first home match of the season, against one of the larger clubs in the area. A spirited start was made by both sides, with physical encounters all across the pitch. …
A pouring wet day brought the men of Littlemore out to play – in their first full league fixture of the new season. Into the driving rain over Gosford’s pitches and clubhouse we headed, with several new faces in our team. We made a quick start, catching Gosford cold and driving them into their 22. …
As the dawn rose on the rolling hills of Oxfordshire, the men of Littlemore RFC prepared themselves to once again head into battle. Fully fledged rugby matches have been hard to come by over the past year or so due to the summer break and temporary rule changes designed to limit contact between players. Training …
